Dear friends, colleagues, and companions,
I founded the Subhashini Shivhare Foundation (SSF) in 2021 after witnessing the heart-rending sight of children shivering on Kanpur’s polluted Ganga ghats—full of dreams, yet deprived of education, guidance, and dignity. Since then, our mission has remained simple: to empower the marginalized through education and help restore their self-respect.
Over the past five years, we have cleaned the banks of the River Ganga, planted more than 5,500 trees, and worked in prisons across Kanpur, Unnao, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Banda, and Mahoba. Through beauty training, menstrual hygiene education, literacy programs, yoga, counselling, and income-generating activities, we have not only built skills but also restored confidence and hope under the guidance of UPPHQ (Prison Administration Reform Department).
This coffee table book marks our journey so far—a humble record of transformed lives, greener spaces, and stronger communities. It is also an invitation to partners, donors, and CSR supporters to join us in this long-term mission.
Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our work in prison rehabilitation, women’s empowerment, and holistic well-being.
I am deeply grateful to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who has walked this path with me. Together, we are proving that small seeds of compassion, when sown collectively, can transform society forever.

We believe that no woman, child, or forgotten soul should be left behind by poverty, injustice, or silence. Our mission is to restore dignity, confidence, and hope to lives often overlooked, particularly within marginalized communities and prison systems.
Through beautician and skill-development training programs, we help women rediscover their confidence and achieve financial independence. Through menstrual hygiene awareness initiatives, we replace stigma with dignity and knowledge. Through health campaigns, counselling services, and community outreach programs, we strive to heal not only bodies but also lives, aspirations, and futures.
In partnership with government bodies and CSR initiatives, we work to transform struggle into opportunity and isolation into inclusion. Our efforts range from organizing diya-making workshops for differently-abled children and underprivileged communities to conducting sanitary napkin awareness campaigns across prisons in Uttar Pradesh.
By empowering individuals with skills, education, and support, we aim to create lasting change and build stronger, more inclusive communities where every person has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and self-respect.
