In a significant step toward improving women's health and preventing cervical cancer, the Subhashini Shivhare Foundation, in collaboration with Rotary Clubs, successfully launched a large-scale Cervical Cancer Vaccination Drive. The initiative was designed to provide life-saving protection against Human Papillomavirus (HPV), the leading cause of cervical cancer, particularly among underprivileged girls who often lack access to preventive healthcare services.
The campaign focused on reaching economically disadvantaged communities through extensive awareness programs, educational sessions, and grassroots-level outreach. More than 1,000 eligible girls from low-income families, primarily ration card holders, were identified and counseled about the importance of HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention.
The Cervical Cancer Vaccination Drive stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration and social responsibility. By making preventive healthcare accessible to vulnerable populations, the Subhashini Shivhare Foundation and Rotary Clubs have taken a meaningful step toward creating healthier communities and safeguarding the future of hundreds of young girls.Beyond immunization, the initiative played a crucial role in spreading awareness about cervical cancer, early prevention strategies, women's reproductive health, and the importance of regular health screenings. Interactive awareness sessions empowered young girls and their families with knowledge that can help reduce future health risks and encourage proactive healthcare practices.
As a result of these efforts, free HPV vaccination doses were administered to over 700 beneficiaries at renowned educational institutions, including CSJMU Kanpur University and S.N. Sen Postgraduate College. Medical professionals and trained volunteers worked closely with participants and their families to address concerns, provide accurate health information, and ensure a smooth vaccination process.
This initiative not only contributes to reducing the burden of cervical cancer but also reinforces the importance of equitable healthcare access for all. Through continued efforts, partnerships, and awareness campaigns, the Foundation remains committed to promoting public health, empowering women, and building a future where preventable diseases no longer threaten lives and opportunities.
